Bilingual SHEQ Manager
A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Bilingual SHEQ Manager to lead site-wide Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety programs. This is a Quality-focused leadership role that will drive regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, quality systems, and workplace safety initiatives across a fast-paced production environment. The responsibilities of the SHEQ Manager will include:
- Lead and maintain the site's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards and continuous improvement of quality processes.
- Drive process improvement and operational excellence through Statistical Process Control (SPC), data analysis, and performance metrics.
- Lead quality initiatives utilizing PFMEA, process mapping, control plans, and process capability studies to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
- Monitor and improve Cost of Quality (CoQ) metrics, including scrap, rework, customer returns, and corrective action effectiveness.
- Partner closely with Operations to identify process improvement opportunities and ensure consistent product quality across the facility.
- Analyze quality KPIs and performance data to identify trends, reduce defects, and drive sustainable solutions.
- Lead root cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and customer complaint resolution activities.
- Manage internal audits, quality reviews, and compliance programs while preparing quality performance reports for leadership.
- Champion Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and process optimization projects.
- Serve as the site leader for quality compliance, customer requirements, and quality system enhancements.
- Oversee the site's health and safety management systems, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Lead safety initiatives, training programs, incident investigations, and corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to address safety concerns and implement effective corrective actions.
- Support environmental compliance activities and regulatory requirements as needed.
The ideal SHEQ Manager will have the following skillset:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Business, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Demonstrated experience leading or managing a Quality Management System (QMS), preferably within an ISO 9001-certified facility.
- Experience conducting or participating in internal audits; Lead Auditor certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including PFMEA, control plans, process mapping, SPC, CAPA, and root cause analysis.
- OSHA 30 certification or experience managing workplace safety programs.
- Experience leading safety initiatives, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Ability to balance quality leadership responsibilities while providing oversight of site safety programs.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
