CAPEX Category Buyer
Location: Ravena, NY | Whitehall, PA | Hagerstown, MD (5 Days Onsite)
Compensation: $130,000-$140,000 Base + High Bonus Potential (Recent payouts have been closer to 24%)
A multi-billion-dollar construction materials company is seeking a CAPEX Category Manager to join its growing procurement team. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to Directors, VPs, and executive leadership, offering strong opportunities for growth and career progression.
The CAPEX Category Manager will lead sourcing activities for capital projects across the U.S. and Canada, with responsibility for categories including:
- Large process equipment
- Non-process equipment
- Civil construction
- Engineering and professional services
Responsibilities
- Own the full sourcing process for CAPEX spend across multiple manufacturing sites
- Lead complex negotiations, contract management, and supplier relationships
- Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and senior leadership
- Support CAPEX purchasing across Ravena, NY, Whitehall, PA, and Hagerstown, MD
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required (preferred: Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business, Economics, or Engineering)
- Minimum 5 years of CAPEX procurement/purchasing experience
- Strong negotiation and contract management experience
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and basic SAP
- Comfortable traveling approximately 25% (must be willing to travel periodically between the three sites)
