Commercial Analytics Manager (Supply Chain)
The Opportunity
As a key member of the commercial team which is an individual contributor, you will be responsible for building pricing frameworks, evaluating profitability, supporting major customer quotations, and developing data-driven recommendations that enhance both revenue and margin performance.
You will work closely with Sales, Business Development, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure pricing strategies remain competitive, sustainable, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Pricing & Profitability
- Develop, maintain, and enhance pricing, routing, and cost models across customers, products, trade lanes, and service offerings.
- Analyze cost structures, market benchmarks, and operational data to support profitable pricing decisions.
- Build financial and pricing models to evaluate commercial opportunities, customer tenders, and new business proposals.
- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess impacts on revenue, margin, and cost performance.
Quotation & Rate Management
- Prepare customer quotations, pricing proposals, and rate cards in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure all pricing recommendations comply with internal pricing guidelines and commercial objectives.
- Act as the primary contact for pricing requests, rate reviews, and margin-related enquiries from stakeholders.
Performance Analysis & Commercial Insights
- Monitor revenue, margin, yield, and cost performance against approved pricing assumptions.
- Identify margin leakage, pricing gaps, cost optimization opportunities, and revenue enhancement initiatives.
- Deliver meaningful commercial insights through data analysis, reporting, and performance dashboards.
- Provide recommendations to leadership and sales teams to improve profitability and commercial effectiveness.
Strategic Pricing
- Support the development and implementation of pricing policies, discount frameworks, and margin guardrails.
- Participate in commercial review meetings by preparing pricing analyses, business cases, and strategic recommendations.
- Assist in annual price adjustment and indexation exercises by assessing supplier rates, fuel impacts, and cost movements.
- Drive continuous improvement of pricing methodologies, analytical tools, and reporting processes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Pricing, Commercial Finance, Revenue Management, Business Analytics, or related commercial functions.
- Experience within cross-border eCommerce, logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, supply chain, or online platform businesses is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of:
- Pricing strategy and governance
- Cost and profitability analysis
- Revenue management
- Commercial modelling and business case development
- Margin optimization
- Advanced Excel modelling skills are essential.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools is a distinct advantage.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-making across functions.
- Fluency of English and Chinese is a must for candidates in Hong Kong.
