Control Systems Technician
A well-established food and beverage manufacturer in Selah, Washington is seeking a Control Systems Technician to support automation, process controls, and capital improvement projects across multiple production facilities.
You'll work closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, and project teams to design, implement, troubleshoot, and improve PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop, modify, test, and support PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications.
- Troubleshoot industrial automation systems and process control issues.
- Support process historians, alarm management systems, and plant-wide control networks.
- Participate in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility expansions.
- Assist with commissioning new equipment and automation systems.
- Develop interface control documents (ICDs), system documentation, and control narratives.
- Configure and maintain industrial Ethernet networks and communications
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, and process optimization.
What We're Looking:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 2-4 years of experience, or equivalent hands-on controls experience.
- Experience in food & beverage, consumer products, industrial manufacturing, or other process-driven industries.
- ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) or Certified Automation Professional (CAP) credentials are a plus.
- Knowledge of industrial automation platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware, Ignition, FactoryTalk, or similar technologies.
