Location: Plano, TX (Onsite)
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 Base Salary
A leading organization in the distribution and supply chain sector is seeking a Demand Planner to support inventory strategy, forecasting, and supply chain optimization efforts. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with sales, operations, inventory management, and commercial teams to drive forecast accuracy, improve service levels, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts across a large SKU portfolio using historical sales data, market trends, and business intelligence.
- Analyze customer demand patterns, identify risks and opportunities, and proactively adjust forecasts as needed.
- Partner with sales, operations, and commercial teams to incorporate promotions, customer insights, and market changes into planning activities.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and implement corrective actions to improve performance metrics.
- Manage inventory targets and help optimize stock levels while balancing customer service requirements and inventory investment.
- Evaluate trends, seasonality, and demand variability to support inventory planning decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align demand plans with supply chain and distribution strategies.
- Support product introductions, product transitions, and assortment changes through effective planning and analysis.
- Create reporting and performance dashboards to provide visibility into demand and inventory trends.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory planning, supply chain planning, forecasting, or related functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with large datasets and demand forecasting tools.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- ERP or planning system experience preferred (SAP, Oracle, JDA, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, or similar).
- Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, operations, supply chain, and commercial stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field preferred.
