Engineering and Construction Consulting - Cost/Procurement Manager

Overview

This role will support the client's procurement function across multiple APAC projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of critical packages. The successful candidate will work closely with design leads, procurement managers, and project teams to coordinate documentation, align procurement strategies, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate procurement plans for CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) packages.
  • Assist in end-to-end tendering activities, including preparation of RFPs, tender documentation, evaluation matrices, and recommendation reports.
  • Collaborate with consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure all package documentation is aligned and coordinated prior to release.
  • Monitor and track long-lead equipment, identify procurement risks, and manage dependencies to avoid delays.
  • Maintain accurate procurement registers and reporting dashboards, ensuring visibility of progress and compliance.
  • Support cost trend reviews, benchmarking, and commercial analysis to inform decision-making and optimize value.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes and governance.

Candidate Requirements

  • 3-6+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying, procurement, commercial management, or project controls roles within construction or engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of tender preparation, bid evaluation, and contract administration.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, while managing multiple priorities across regions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and procurement tools; familiarity with cost management systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of APAC market practices and supply chain dynamics will be advantageous.
