Key Responsibilities
- Create and refine packaging designs to be more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible
- Conduct testing and validation of packaging materials to ensure performance and compliance
- Improve packaging workflows to minimize waste and enhance sustainability efforts
- Coordinate with internal departments including engineering, production, logistics, and marketing
- Monitor and analyze packaging-related expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Manage packaging initiatives from concept through full-scale implementation
- Assist in the integration of packaging systems with production equipment
- Promote continuous improvement through data analysis and process documentation
- Ensure adherence to applicable safety, regulatory, and environmental standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in food and beverage manufacturing
- Proficiency in CAD tools including AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of packaging-specific software
- Knowledge of industry testing protocols (e.g., ISTA, ASTM)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and lifecycle analysis
- Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
