Project Manager

Seeking a driven, detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to support end-to-end facility projects, including planning, design, construction, commissioning, validation, and engineering systems development.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans to ensure alignment with objectives, including requirements definition, feasibility studies, risk evaluation, and solution development.
  • Prepare project cost estimates across all stages and implement effective cost control strategies.
  • Oversee purchasing activities and manage vendor and contractor agreements.
  • Lead bid processes and procurement efforts for design, construction, and long-lead equipment.
  • Administer contract negotiations, execution, and performance management to ensure adherence to quality, timelines, and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate regulatory and third-party processes to ensure projects meet all applicable U.S. compliance standards.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of required permits and approvals.
  • Monitor and manage project execution across technical, quality, safety, and schedule dimensions, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and standards are upheld.
  • Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to maintain strong project alignment and communication.
  • Coordinate and lead commissioning and validation activities.
  • Facilitate factory acceptance testing, system commissioning, and validation to confirm alignment with user and operational requirements.
  • Oversee final inspections, turnover, documentation, and financial closeout to ensure successful project completion.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, prepare reports, capture lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future projects.

Ideal Skillset:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience within the biopharmaceutical industry, including significant exposure to project management and facility operations.
  • Practical experience managing construction projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering through design, build, commissioning, validation, and closeout.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and reporting skills, with the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Solid engineering foundation supported by strong technical expertise.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities, including root cause analysis and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Procore, Microsoft Project, or Primavera P6.
  • Familiarity with construction cost estimating and project scheduling systems.
