Position Summary
Seeking a Quality Technician II / Inspector to perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and customer requirements. This role supports production quality through inspection activities, documentation, reporting, and communication with manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured parts to verify conformance to drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, height gages, thread gages, pin gages, and other inspection tools.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and inspection criteria.
- Complete and maintain quality documentation, including:
- First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
- Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts
- Defective Material Reports (DMRs)
- Test and inspection reports
- Coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) evaluations when required.
- Process inspection-related transactions and maintain accurate quality records.
- Apply statistical sampling methods during inspection activities.
- Communicate quality issues, inspection results, and shift handoff information to production and quality teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with additional quality-related duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience performing both visual and dimensional inspections of machined or manufactured parts.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inspection records.
Preferred Experience
- Aerospace, defense, automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.
- Experience with First Article Inspections (FAI), SPC, and quality reporting systems.
- Familiarity with NDT processes and quality management systems.
