About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading specialty chemicals manufacturer, is seeking a Reliability Engineer to lead predictive maintenance and mechanical integrity initiatives across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role will serve as the subject matter expert for equipment reliability, asset management, rotating equipment performance, and mechanical integrity compliance.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage predictive maintenance programs including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, and oil analysis
  • Own and improve Mechanical Integrity (MI) programs across multiple sites
  • Monitor and evaluate rotating equipment health and reliability performance
  • Drive equipment reliability improvements through data analysis and asset strategies
  • Lead bad actor programs, reliability metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support root cause failure analysis (RCFA), FMECA, and reliability-centered maintenance efforts
  • Develop long-term asset replacement strategies and capital planning recommendations
  • Manage third-party inspection contractors and insurance-related audits
  • Optimize preventive maintenance programs and spare parts strategies
  • Support reliability considerations for new equipment installation and commissioning

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of reliability engineering or predictive maintenance experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or similar process manufacturing environment
  • Experience with rotating equipment reliability and condition monitoring technologies
  • Strong understanding of Mechanical Integrity programs and applicable ASME/API standards
  • Experience performing equipment failure analysis and reliability improvement projects
  • Working knowledge of SAP CMMS systems
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Willingness to perform hands-on troubleshooting and field work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications or significant experience in:
    • Vibration Analysis
    • Oil Analysis
    • Infrared Thermography
    • Ultrasound Analysis
  • Experience with reliability analytics and predictive modeling
