Senior Manager / Director, OSAT Procurement & Supplier Management

Our client is a leading European IDM semiconductor company seeking an experienced Senior Manager / Director, OSAT Supplier Management to drive supplier strategy, procurement excellence, and supply chain resilience across its Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) network.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for managing key OSAT supplier relationships, supporting global sourcing initiatives, leading complex commercial negotiations, and partnering closely with internal business units to ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing and supplier management strategies that support business growth, secure supply, and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Serve as the primary interface between the company and its OSAT partners, fostering strategic relationships and driving long-term value creation.
- Lead supplier selection, business awards, contract negotiations, and ongoing supplier performance management on a global scale.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Business Units, Manufacturing, Operations, and Procurement teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for OSAT procurement, providing market insights and guidance on supplier capabilities, industry trends, and commercial strategies.
- Drive procurement performance through KPI management, including cost savings, payment terms, supplier performance, and risk mitigation.
- Utilize advanced procurement methodologies such as cost modeling, benchmarking, total cost of ownership analysis, value engineering, and strategic negotiations.
- Monitor market developments and supply chain risks, implementing contingency plans and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Support the development and implementation of best-in-class procurement processes, systems, and tools.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Physics, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, or Supplier Management within the semiconductor industry.
- Proven experience managing significant spend categories, strategic suppliers, and complex commercial negotiations.
- Strong understanding of OSAT operations, semiconductor assembly and test processes, and back-end manufacturing environments.
- Experience in supplier development, category management, contract management, and procurement process ownership.
- Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement initiatives, benchmarking activities, business case development, and product cost analysis.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Fluent in English; additional Asian language capabilities, such as Mandarin, would be advantageous.
- Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 25-50%).
