Senior Procurement Engineer - PCB
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Procurement Engineer with strong, hands-on experience in PCB sourcing and procurement from OEM manufacturers. This role is critical in driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and supply continuity for high-quality printed circuit boards used in our products.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical understanding of PCB fabrication with strong commercial, negotiation, and supplier management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end PCB sourcing and procurement activities, including supplier selection, RFQs, cost breakdown analysis, and contract negotiations.
- Manage and develop long-term relationships with China-based OEM PCB manufacturers, ensuring quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
- Evaluate PCB manufacturing capabilities (HDI, rigid, flex, rigid-flex, multilayer, special materials, impedance control, etc.).
- Work closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to support NPI, prototyping, and volume production.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through vendor comparison, design-for-cost feedback, and supply chain optimization.
- Monitor supplier performance (quality, lead time, yield, pricing) and conduct regular reviews and audits.
- Mitigate supply risks related to capacity constraints, material shortages, and geopolitical or logistics challenges.
- Stay current on PCB market trends, raw material pricing, and technology developments within China.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, with solid, hands-on experience in PCB procurement.
- Proven track record working directly with China-based PCB OEMs.
- Strong technical knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to drive commercial outcomes.
- Experience supporting NPI and mass production environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cost-modeling skills.
- Fluency in English; Mandarin is highly preferred.
- Willingness to travel within China as required.

- Experience sourcing PCBs for high-reliability or regulated industries (automotive, industrial, consumer electronics, medical, etc.).
- Familiarity with quality systems, audits, and supplier qualification processes.
- Experience working in multinational or fast-paced manufacturing environments.
