Territory Manager - Madison, WI

A leading manufacturer of residential and commercial roofing products is seeking a Territory Manager to drive sales performance and customer engagement within the Madison, Wisconsin market. This role will focus on building strong customer relationships, expanding market presence, and supporting contractors and distributors through product expertise and service excellence.

Responsibilities for the Territory Manager:

  • Develop and grow sales within the assigned territory by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, distributors, and key customers to drive long-term partnership and loyalty.
  • Conduct regular site visits, including inspection of residential and commercial roofs, to support product application and customer needs.
  • Educate customers and contractors on proper installation techniques and product benefits.
  • Deliver presentations, lead customer meetings, and represent the organization at industry events and trade shows.
  • Demonstrate products effectively using samples and catalog materials while highlighting key product features and value propositions.
  • Generate and manage sales leads through research, market analysis, and networking activities.
  • Prepare pricing quotes, negotiate credit terms, and execute sales agreements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to provide accurate delivery timelines based on production and logistics schedules.
  • Maintain detailed reports, customer records, and business correspondence to track sales activity and performance.

Requirements for the Territory Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in field sales, preferably within construction, building materials, or a related industry.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships in a B2B sales environment.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Hands-on experience working with contractors or within roofing/building materials is highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel frequently, including overnight stays, within the assigned region.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform on-site inspections.
