As a leading pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturer, this team is currently looking for an Environmental Specialist to become and integral member of their leadership team at one of their largest plants.
Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the EHS Manager to continue the growth & sustainability of a strong safety culture
- Utilizing loss analysis and TPM to build the team
- Leading improvements based on audit trends, corrective actions and best practices
- Organizing/submitting environmental reports and permits for the facility
- Updating SOPs in compliance with regulatory programs
- Assisting adits for EHS Manager
- Following up with incident investigation teams with timely investigation of incidents
- Providing support to EHS Manager for managing environmental programs
- Supporting the technical expertise to ensure compliance with EHS regulations
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline
- Working knowledge of OSHA
- 3 years of experience with safety/health systems in manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- 5 years of experience in environmental practices (in a chemical manufacturing environment)
- CSP or Industrial Hygienist certification a plus
- TPM experience
