The Shifts Available:
- Mon - Wed every other Thursday 6pm-6:30am
- Fri - Sun every other Thursday 6pm-6:30am
- Mon - Fri 2pm-10:30pm
The Opportunity
This role is responsible for maintaining machinery and equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, ensuring everything runs smoothly through timely repairs, inspections, and accurate record-keeping. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring all operations comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Setting up, changing over, installing, and modifying equipment at the site.
- Performing inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and repairs on all equipment and systems, with documentation in the maintenance management system.
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and equipment used in pharmaceutical production.
- Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, facilities, and systems.
- Maintaining logs and records to support the operation and maintenance of critical systems, ensuring effective operation and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Providing technical expertise and project support as needed, including working with vendors and contractors, and participating in the design and engineering of new processes and equipment.
- Operating within current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) guidelines, adhering to government regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA, DEA, FDA), and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Completing all required training and maintaining 100% compliance with all assigned tasks.
- Keeping work areas clean and performing duties in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies, GMPs, SOPs, and Batch Record instructions.
- Performing additional related duties as assigned.
Education/Certification/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food processing industries.
- Experience in mechanical maintenance involving pumps, gearboxes, and belts.
- Experience in electrical systems maintenance, particularly with 480V distribution systems, motors, and starters.
- Preferred: Experience with Industrial PLC Control systems (hardware and programming) at 24v & 4-20 mA.
- Preferred: Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with MS Office (experience with systems such as LMS, ERP, etc. is a plus).
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adhere to company policies, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, I/O information, and operational sequences.
- Proficiency with voltmeters and understanding of current, voltage, and continuity in systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, timing, and process control loops.
- Problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting system components such as timers, relays, limit switches, and more.
