Title: Plant Manager
Location: Greater Austin, TX Area
A leader within chemical manufacturing is seeking out a Plant Manager to join their team and be a critical part of the strategic business decisions.
The Plant Manager will be accountable for providing leadership and direction to maximize capital and utilize human resources to achieve production objective while maintaining established cost parameters; managing the direction of plant materials, people, and assets, producing products according to production schedules and requirements, driving operational excellence initiatives, as well as implementing continuous improvement strategies to support plant and customer requirements.
The Plant Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and strategy to ensure success of the facility
- Developing and executing site budgets
- Oversee entire Chemical Plant including Production, Maintenance, EHS, and Quality
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements
Guide team members to effectively utilize Six Sigma tools and Lean Manufacturing to complete continuous improvement projects
- Oversee entire function of hazardous chemical manufacturing facility
The ideal Plant Manager must have the following qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without needing sponsorship for employment
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing operations environment
- Six Sigma and LEAN Manufacturing a plus
- Must have had previous P&L responsibilities
- Experience with chemicals
