Qualifications for the Ideal Production Supervisor:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience - preferably in food industry manufacturing or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Understanding of LEAN manufacturing
- Capability to effectively manage line employees
- Aptitude to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Familiarity with USDA, FDA, and BRC regulations is preferred
Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor:
- Ensure continuous improvement in product quality and cost reduction while adhering to good manufacturing practices
- Oversee, mentor, and develop team members while managing production, packaging, and bakery on production lines to comply with USDA and company guidelines
- Plan daily work schedules to fulfill production needs as required
- Monitor product quality, usage, waste, and product counts to ensure performance and attainment
- Manage safety, housekeeping, policy implementation, employee relations, cost control, and problem solving
