DSJ Global is partnered with a leading food & beverage manufacturing company that is looking to add a Quality Assurance Manager to their team in Kentucky. This role will primarily be responsible for handling the plants Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs and ensuring compliance with company, customer and government procedures. The person in this role will be inspecting and auditing the operation in all phases of quality performance (raw materials, production, packaging, distribution, HACCP, GMP's, etc.). In addition, the person in this role will need to have strong leadership skills for building a strong department as well as supporting existing programs and creating new ones.
Position: Quality Assurance Manager
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for handling QC policies and procedures in order to ensure compliance with company, customer, and government expectations while providing feedback and required follow up to ensure proper corrective action.
- Guide the plant's SQF certification program.
- Perform customer audits and annual SQF audits.
- Develop and maintain HACCP plan and train plant personnel on quality programs.
- Communicates to USDA regarding preoperational or operational inspections.
- Develop and maintain quality control systems/programs such as Pest Control, Self-Inspection,
- Supplier Management, Safety, Microbio Testing and Defense.
- Conduct pre-shipment review, CCP's, validation studies, report on deficiencies for GMP's, HACCP and SSOP's
- Work cross-functionally with Plant manager and Sanitation manager to ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of facility, equipment, and grounds.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a fur-year accredited college or university
- 5+ years of experience in quality control within a food-manufacturing environment
- HACCP Certified
- SQF Certified
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools (specifically Excel)
