We're in search of an adept and seasoned Senior Buyer who specializes in Research and Development services, particularly in strategic sourcing and clinical research outsourcing. As an integral part of our procurement team, the ideal candidate will be instrumental in streamlining procurement procedures, conducting contract negotiations, and cultivating robust vendor partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Devise and execute strategic sourcing strategies tailored to Research and Development objectives, ensuring they align with organizational targets.
- Perform thorough market analyses to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and secure advantageous terms and conditions through negotiation.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to grasp project specifications and contribute to the selection of vendors aligning with business requirements.
- Apply specialized knowledge to facilitate clinical research outsourcing endeavors, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and industry protocols.
- Negotiate contracts, nurture vendor relationships, and spearhead cost-saving measures while upholding quality and meeting deadlines.
- Remain abreast of industry trends, market fluctuations, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making processes.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to comprehend project timelines, financial constraints, and quality benchmarks.
Qualifications
- 3+ years strategic sourcing experience with successful negotiations; clinical research experience considered.
- 1+ year clinical research outsourcing support in pharma/healthcare.
- Strong R&D process understanding for effective procurement strategies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with clinical research outsourcing regulations and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree required; MS/MBA/CPM/CPSM a plus.
