DSJ Global is looking for a Senior Buyer for a Engineering Services organization in Tampa, FL. This opportunity is currently being offered as a Hybrid position with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays and offers a base salary between $80,000-$90,000.
Senior Buyer Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for various categories including equipment, capital expenditures (Capex), HVAC systems, and facility management services.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand project requirements and identify suitable vendors and suppliers.
- Drive end-to-end procurement processes, from sourcing and negotiating contracts to expediting and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Utilize a tactical approach to procurement, leveraging market insights, quotes analysis, and vendor relationships to optimize cost savings and quality.
- Maintain a hands-on mentality, actively participating in the procurement process and addressing any challenges that arise.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction industry or similar engineering companies.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, quotes evaluation, vendor management, and expediting.
- Technical background or familiarity with technical specifications is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote and on-site responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required with relevant years of experience.
