As the Vice President of Procurement, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the procurement function of our organization. You will oversee all aspects of procurement, including sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement leadership roles, a proven track record of driving operational excellence, and the ability to develop and execute procurement strategies that support the company's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic procurement plans and initiatives that align with the company's overall objectives and drive cost savings, efficiency, and innovation.
Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with service level agreements and quality standards.
Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the procurement function, and lead initiatives to optimize procurement spend while maintaining quality and service levels.
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, supplier financial stability, and geopolitical factors.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure that procurement processes and practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, and implement governance mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of procurement operations, and regularly monitor and report on performance to senior management.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and supply chain, to align procurement activities with overall business objectives and drive cross-functional initiatives.
Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies in procurement and supply chain management, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and competitive advantage.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, finance, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CIPS) is preferred but not required.
Experience: Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 5-7 years in senior leadership roles. Experience in a multinational or global organization is highly desirable.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities, with a track record of building high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, and driving results.
Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically and develop innovative procurement strategies that support business objectives and drive competitive advantage.

Additional Information:
This position reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO).
Travel may be required occasionally to visit suppliers, attend industry conferences, or meet with global team members.
