Business Development Manager - Oil & Gas/Project Cargo
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, while also supporting the ongoing success of existing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective clients within the assigned territory or market segment.
- Conduct daily outreach through calls, emails, and other communication methods to generate leads and initiate contact with potential customers.
- Serve as a key resource for client needs, offering solutions related to logistics, pricing, and service agreements.
- Maintain consistent communication with assigned accounts, including participation in performance reviews, updates on process improvements, and discussions around new initiatives.
- Address and resolve customer concerns, service issues, and special requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Support additional tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) is required.
- Experience with optimization tools is preferred.
- Willingness to travel.
- The team is exclusively looking for candidates with oil and gas and/or project cargo experience.
Additional Expectations:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and leadership, to ensure client satisfaction and profitability.
- Participate in account reviews and contribute to the development of strategic proposals.
- Present results and recommendations to senior leadership for approval and implementation.
