Are you a strategic business developer who thrives on building long-term relationships rather than chasing quick wins?

We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our Special Tanks division across Europe. This is a unique opportunity to join a market-leading organization operating at the forefront of specialist bulk logistics, serving industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, industrial gases, energy storage, and lithium battery manufacturing.

Unlike traditional freight sales roles, success in this position comes from understanding complex customer challenges, mapping markets, and becoming a trusted partner to key decision-makers. The sales cycles are strategic and consultative, requiring someone who can navigate large organizations, influence stakeholders, and uncover opportunities for long-term growth.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and execute a commercial growth strategy for the Special Tanks business across Europe.
  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within targeted industries.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Manage complex sales processes and strategic accounts from initial engagement through to contract award.
  • Analyse market trends and identify emerging opportunities in developing sectors.
  • Work closely with operational, commercial, and product teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events, and trade exhibitions.
  • Strengthen the company's market position while driving sustainable revenue growth.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven success in Business Development, Commercial Management, or Sales within logistics, tank containers, chemicals, industrial gases, bulk liquids, or a related sector.
  • A strategic and consultative sales approach with the ability to manage long sales cycles.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience opening new markets and developing business across multiple European countries.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Comfortable travelling regularly throughout Europe.
  • Fluent English communication skills; additional European languages are highly advantageous.
