We are currently supporting a leading consumer goods organisation in Helsinki with the search for a Demand Planning Manager to strengthen their Nordic supply chain function.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving forecasting excellence, improving demand visibility, and partnering closely with commercial teams to optimise service and inventory performance.
The Role
As Demand Planning Manager, you will lead the end-to-end demand planning process across the Nordic region, ensuring accurate forecasting and alignment with business strategy.
You will play a central role in the S&OP process, working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to drive data-led decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve the demand forecasting process across multiple product categories
- Lead monthly S&OP / IBP cycles, ensuring alignment across commercial and supply functions
- Analyse market trends, promotions, and historical data to improve forecast accuracy
- Manage and develop a small demand planning team
- Drive KPI performance (forecast accuracy, bias, service levels, inventory optimisation)
- Partner closely with Sales & Marketing on demand shaping activities
- Implement best practices, tools, and systems within demand planning
Your Profile
- Proven experience in demand planning and supply chain organisations
- Strong experience leading or contributing to S&OP / IBP processes
- Demonstrated ability to improve forecast accuracy and business performance
- Experience managing stakeholders across commercial and supply chain functions
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using planning tools (e.g. SAP IBP, APO, Anaplan, Kinaxis, etc.)
- Leadership experience or readiness to step into a managerial role
- Fluent in English (Finnish is a plus but not essential)
