Director, Trade Compliance Solutions
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a seasoned professional to provide expert guidance on import, export, and global trade compliance matters. This role partners with Global Trade leadership to ensure the efficient movement of goods across international borders in support of supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong operational background and a commitment to maintaining compliance within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee a global network of service providers responsible for customs clearance and third-party importer/exporter of record services, ensuring subject matter expertise and performance standards are met
Develop and implement compliance strategies for import, export, and trade activities across assigned regions
Manage regional carrier relationships to ensure timely customs clearance and accurate payment of duties and taxes
Act as the primary client-facing contact for global trade program management, working closely with clients to identify needs, resolve concerns, and drive operational improvements
Address and resolve performance issues within the partner network as identified by operations teams
Advise internal stakeholders and leadership on regulatory changes and evolving compliance requirements impacting the client base
Conduct research on import/export regulations and product conformity standards in response to partner network inquiries
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and close trade compliance gaps
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
6-8+ years of experience in import/export compliance with international scope
Familiarity with product compliance and type approval concepts preferred
Customs broker license is a plus
Proven experience leading diverse teams and working across global departments
Excellent communication skills across international stakeholders
Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
