EHS Manager

Overview:

This role is responsible for driving EHS at a manufacturing site, supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security standards. The position partners closely with site leadership and corporate EHS to foster a proactive safety culture and mitigate operational risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead site-level implementation of EHS & RM programs aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through incident investigations, root cause analysis, and trend monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and documentation using EHS data systems.
  • Serve as site liaison for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitate safety committee activities, audits, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Oversee PPE, LOTO procedures, SDS management, and first aid readiness.
  • Support environmental audits, hearing conservation, and industrial hygiene programs.
  • Conduct safety training, orientation, and emergency response coordination.
  • Mentor EHS team members and contribute to network-wide best practice sharing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and risk management standards.
  • Experience with EHS software platforms (e.g., Cority, Sphera, ISN).
  • Skilled in strategic planning, auditing, and change management.
  • Effective communicator with leadership and coaching capabilities.
