Job Requirements
- Lead the Manufacturing Engineering function, including process engineering, tooling, and capital development projects
- Develop and implement best-practice production engineering strategies, policies, and procedures
- Design, implement, and refine product development, testing, and manufacturing processes
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of manufacturing and tooling engineers
- Lead teams in the development and deployment of new products, processes, and solutions
- Oversee project planning, logistics, resource allocation, and execution
- Establish departmental objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics; monitor progress and report results
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, safety, sustainability, and waste reduction
- Identify process gaps and lead improvements in training, work practices, and manufacturing methods
- Manage departmental budgets, capital investment proposals, and cost control strategies
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and all health, safety, and environmental policies
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to engineering teams
- Support new product and process introduction activities
- Coordinate with cross-functional leaders and departments to achieve operational objectives
- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership and customers
- Oversee staffing levels, recruitment, performance management, training, and employee development
- Ensure accurate maintenance of engineering and people-related records, including training matrices, risk assessments, and performance evaluations
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required)
- Master's degree in Engineering or MBA (preferred)
Experience
- 5-7 years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 2 years in a people management or leadership role
- Experience managing engineering teams and large-scale projects
- Demonstrated success leading process improvement and capital investment initiatives

- Experience with CAD tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or similar collaborative project methodologies (preferred)
- Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders using appropriate presentation tools
