Location: Wichita, KS

A leading environmental services organization is seeking a Facility General Manager II to oversee daily operations at a Transfer, Storage, and Disposal Facility (TSDF). This role is responsible for managing waste operations, ensuring health and safety compliance, driving financial performance, and leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of facility operations, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards and internal KPIs
  • Manage the processing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements
  • Maintain strong knowledge of facility capabilities including wastewater treatment, fuels blending, incineration, lab packing, bulking, shredding, and pumping
  • Partner with safety and compliance teams to reinforce a strong safety culture and maintain regulatory compliance (RCRA, DOT, etc.)
  • Lead facility-level P&L, managing budgets, labor, materials, and operating costs to meet or exceed financial targets
  • Develop and mentor employees, including succession planning and leadership development
  • Oversee maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance programs
  • Ensure facility readiness for audits and customer visits
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in field services, technical services, and logistics

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or business-related field
  • 7-10+ years of experience in environmental or waste management operations
  • Proven leadership experience managing plant/facility operations and teams in an industrial or regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, including RCRA and DOT
  • Experience managing budgets, cost controls, and P&L performance
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop teams
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting safety, operational, and financial objectives
