Head of HSE (m/w/d)

With a strong focus on sectors such as Data Centres, the business is known for delivering high-quality projects with a clear commitment to safety, efficiency and excellence.
As part of an ambitious growth strategy across Europe, the company is looking to strengthen its EHS capabilities on large-scale, technically complex projects.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of HSE to support the delivery of major construction and data centre projects in Frankfurt. You will lead 5 people.
This position plays a key role in ensuring safety leadership, regulatory compliance and risk management on site, working closely with project teams, contractors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and continuously improve EHS policies, systems and procedures
- Ensure compliance with German regulations and industry standards
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety walks
- Review risk assessments, method statements and permit systems
- Monitor contractor performance and drive corrective actions
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Maintain EHS documentation and reporting
- Deliver training, toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Promote a proactive and positive safety culture across projects
Your Profile
- Experience in EHS / HSE within construction, infrastructure or industrial projects
- Strong understanding of German health & safety regulations
- Practical experience with audits, risk assessments and contractor management
- Ability to work closely with project teams in dynamic environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent German and English
Preferred:
- Experience in data centres or mission critical environments
- Relevant HSE certifications / qualifications
