IT Infrastructure & Security Manager

About the Role
We are partnering with a globally operating organisation to identify an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Manager (m/f/d).
This newly created position offers the opportunity to take ownership of infrastructure and information security strategy within a complex international environment. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in shaping the future IT landscape while ensuring security, compliance, scalability, and operational excellence across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Cloud Strategy
- Define and drive the organisation's IT infrastructure and security strategy across cloud, network, endpoint, and identity domains.
- Govern cloud environments with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure, while supporting broader multi-cloud initiatives.
- Establish standards for architecture, lifecycle management, patching, and cost governance.
- Oversee global network architecture, connectivity, VPN solutions, and segmentation strategies.
Identity & Endpoint Management
- Own the identity and access management framework.
- Develop standards around modern endpoint management, compliance, and device lifecycle processes.
- Drive best practices across technologies such as Entra ID, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Intune, and Autopilot.
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Develop and maintain IT security policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Maintain and manage a practical IT risk register, ensuring findings are translated into actionable plans.
- Lead security assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing activities.
- Own Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Support internal and external audit activities where required.
Governance & Business Partnership
- Partner closely with compliance, data protection, quality, and business stakeholders.
- Own IT asset management, software licensing, vendor governance, and infrastructure budgeting.
- Present security risks, mitigation strategies, and infrastructure roadmaps to senior leadership.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to infrastructure and security professionals.
- Support recruitment and team growth initiatives.
- Foster a strong security-first culture through awareness programmes, training, and stakeholder engagement.
Your Profile
- Several years of experience within IT Infrastructure, Cyber Security, or a role combining both disciplines.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring, or guiding technical teams.
- Strong expertise within the Microsoft security ecosystem, including Entra ID, Defender, Conditional Access, and PIM.
- Solid Azure infrastructure experience, including governance, networking, administration, and cost management.
- Strong understanding of networking principles including routing, segmentation, VPN technologies, and firewall policies.
- Experience working within regulated industries or highly governed environments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of information security, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are advantageous.
- Fluent business English is essential.
