Logistics Performance & Analytics Manager

A leading consumer goods company is seeking a strategic and hands-on Logistics Performance & Analytics Manager to serve as its embedded representative within a third-party logistics (3PL) operated distribution center. This role is critical in bridging internal operational goals with 3PL execution, ensuring alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring deep 3PL experience, Manhattan WMS proficiency, and strong analytical capabilities.

Core Responsibilities

Operational Oversight & Visibility

  • Serve as the company's on-site liaison, ensuring daily operations meet service and business expectations.
  • Monitor throughput, labor utilization, and order flow using Manhattan WMS and TMS.
  • Provide real-time feedback and visibility to internal leadership.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze volume trends, labor productivity, and peak period performance.
  • Develop dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Support customer-facing reporting and internal reviews.

Compliance & Quality

  • Conduct audits and compliance checks across safety, quality, and regulatory areas.
  • Ensure 3PL adherence to company operational standards.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead Kaizen events and cross-functional workshops.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks using Lean principles.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred (Green Belt or higher).

Inventory & Fulfillment

  • Oversee cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes.
  • Monitor order flow and fulfillment KPIs.
  • Support slotting, replenishment, and returns optimization.

Customer Experience & Escalations

  • Manage escalations related to late shipments, damages, or missing items.
  • Track service level performance and identify trends impacting customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the DC.

Candidate Profile

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years in DC operations, ideally within a 3PL-managed environment.
  • Strong Manhattan WMS and TMS experience.
  • Proven data analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred; certification a plus.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally without direct authority.
