About the Company

Our client is an expanding biotech and pharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing healthcare innovation across China and international markets. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to hire a Procurement Manager to strengthen strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations across the business.

The Opportunity

This position will lead procurement activities for China operations, supporting manufacturing, R&D, commercial, and corporate functions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier performance, driving cost optimization, and ensuring supply continuity within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities across direct and indirect categories
  • Develop sourcing strategies for raw materials, APIs, packaging, laboratory equipment, and operational services
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers and manufacturing partners within China and overseas
  • Lead supplier negotiations covering pricing, contracts, lead times, and service agreements
  • Build strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, compliance, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, QA, Regulatory, R&D, and Finance teams
  • Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks within biotech and pharmaceutical sectors
  • Drive procurement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with GMP/GDP standards and company policies
  • Support vendor qualification, audits, and supplier performance management programs
  • Participate in new product launches, sourcing transfers, and expansion projects

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related disciplines
  • 8-10+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience within biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, chemical, or regulated manufacturing industries
  • Strong experience managing supplier negotiations and procurement processes
  • Knowledge of China sourcing landscape and supplier networks
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
