Location: Hauppauge, NY
Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000
Join a leading aerospace and defense electronics manufacturer seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support customer and supplier quality, drive corrective actions, and ensure compliance across a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to nonconformances, customer complaints, CARs, and SCARs
- Serve as a primary quality contact for customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
- Coordinate MRB activities and support resolution of manufacturing and supplier quality issues
- Support AS9100 compliance through internal audits, external audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Analyze quality metrics and process data to identify trends and drive performance improvements
- Support First Article Inspections (FAIs), customer source inspections, and supplier quality activities
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4+ years of quality experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience working within an AS9100 quality system
- Background in aerospace, defense, electronics, microelectronics, or similar manufacturing environments
- Strong experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, customer quality, and supplier quality
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances
- Experience with audits, MRB activities, and quality system compliance
- Familiarity with AS9102, FRACAS, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, MIL-STD-883, or related industry standards preferred
