Sales Manager - Ocean Freight
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager (Ocean Freight) to join our Singapore team. In this role, you will lead commercial development for our ocean freight product, driving growth with both new and existing customers. You will work closely with operations, trade, and procurement teams to deliver competitive solutions and strengthen our position in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow ocean freight volume and revenue in Singapore and the region.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across key verticals and trade lanes.
- Manage and expand relationships with existing accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Prepare RFQs, pricing proposals, and customized logistics solutions in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, carrier updates, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making.
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales KPIs including revenue, GP, and pipeline targets.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and customer activity log in CRM.
- Represent the company at client visits, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of sales experience in freight forwarding, with strong expertise in ocean freight (FCL/LCL).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering profitable business.
- Strong network of customers within Singapore logistics and supply chain industries.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of carrier procurement, ocean freight pricing, and trade lanes.
- High level of professionalism, resilience, and a customer-first mindset.
