Senior Buyer
A growing infrastructure-focused organization is seeking a Senior Buyer to support procurement activities across operational assets. This role is focused on managing complex service agreements, supporting supplier relationships, and ensuring strong commercial execution across long-term contracts. The ideal candidate has experience negotiating service agreements, working cross-functionally, and operating in a highly technical, asset-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
Contract Negotiation & Service Agreements
- Lead the drafting, negotiation, and execution of long-term service agreements with key equipment and service providers.
- Develop a strong understanding of contract structures, including maintenance scope, pricing mechanisms, and performance obligations.
- Negotiate key commercial terms, including performance guarantees, service levels, and risk allocation provisions.
- Support the development of detailed contract exhibits, including scope of work, pricing structures, and service schedules.
- Manage contract administration post-execution, including tracking milestones, performance metrics, and compliance.
Supplier & Contractor Coordination
- Support procurement and engagement of third-party service providers across operational sites.
- Maintain understanding of contract structures and responsibilities across multiple parties.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment between service providers and operational needs.
Commercial Support & Procurement Execution
- Draft and negotiate various service agreements, including consulting, technical services, and supporting documentation.
- Issue and manage task-based work orders, ensuring clear scope, timelines, and commercial alignment.
- Support vendor onboarding and confidentiality agreements as part of sourcing and negotiation processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Provide procurement updates, contract tracking, and reporting to leadership and project teams.
- Partner closely with engineering, operations, finance, and legal teams to support ongoing procurement needs.
- Assist in resolving contract-related issues, including performance disputes and commercial concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or commercial contract management.
- Strong experience negotiating and managing long-term service agreements.
- Working knowledge of performance-based contracts and service-level agreements.
- Experience drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements (services, consulting, task-based work).
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices and contract administration.
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Background:
- Experience supporting operational or asset-based environments.
- Familiarity with complex equipment or technical service agreements.
- Experience working in infrastructure, industrial, or capital-intensive industries is a plus.
Travel: Up to 25% as needed.
