Senior Chemical Engineer
My Client is seeking a highly driven Ultra‑Pure Water (UPW) Engineer to support the design, operation, and optimization of critical water purification systems within a high‑purity manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring reliable delivery of high‑quality water required for advanced production processes.
The ideal candidate combines strong process engineering fundamentals with hands‑on operational experience, enabling system reliability, quality control, and continuous improvement across complex treatment systems.
Key Responsibilities
System Design & Optimization
- Design, implement, and optimize ultra‑pure water systems to meet stringent purity and performance requirements.
- Support process improvements across technologies such as reverse osmosis, deionization, filtration, and advanced treatment systems.
- Identify and implement system upgrades to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost performance.
Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee day‑to‑day operation of water treatment systems to ensure consistent performance and uptime.
- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and corrective actions to minimize system downtime.
- Support preventative maintenance strategies and equipment lifecycle management.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Monitor key water quality parameters and ensure compliance with internal standards and industry requirements.
- Maintain process control systems to ensure consistent product quality.
- Support regulatory compliance, documentation, and audit readiness.
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze system data to identify trends, optimize performance, and proactively address potential issues.
- Develop performance reports and provide recommendations for system improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and reliability.
Project & Cross‑Functional Support
- Support or lead projects involving system upgrades, expansions, and new installations.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure alignment with plant objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience working with water treatment or process systems in an industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of water purification technologies (e.g., RO, DI, filtration, UV).
- Experience with process monitoring, control systems, and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
