About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and analytical Strategic Buyer to strengthen our Metals Procurement team. In this role, you will take ownership of sourcing strategies for key metal categories, secure reliable supply, manage supplier relationships, and drive continuous cost and process improvements. If you enjoy working cross‑functionally, negotiating with global suppliers, and shaping long-term purchasing strategies, this position offers an exciting opportunity.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for metal commodities
- Analyze market trends, price developments, and supply risks
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to expand and improve the supply base
- Lead commercial negotiations and manage supplier contracts and long-term agreements
- Monitor and assess supplier performance, driving improvement where needed
- Implement cost‑reduction and value‑engineering initiatives
- Ensure material availability and support operational teams in resolving supply or quality issues
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, logistics, and quality teams on new product and optimization projects
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Several years of experience in procurement or category management, ideally in metals, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Strong negotiation and supplier‑management skills
- Solid understanding of metal commodities and global market dynamics
- Analytical thinker with experience in cost and data analysis
- Comfortable working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
- Structured, proactive, and team‑oriented working style
