Sourcing Lead - Hardgoods
We are looking for a highly experienced Sourcing Lead - Hardgoods (Offshore Markets) with a proven track record of identifying and developing new suppliers across Asia such as SEA and other offshore markets.
This role is critical in driving our diversification strategy, building a strong and sustainable vendor base across markets within Southeast Asia and other offshore markets.
You will be a hands-on sourcing expert who can independently discover, qualify, and onboard new factories, particularly in hard goods categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and develop new suppliers across offshore markets including SEA and others, to build a diversified vendor base within offshore markets.
- Lead sourcing across home, household, seasonal, gift and premium hard goods etc
- Conduct factory scouting, on-site evaluations, and capability assessments
- Drive supplier onboarding, including compliance, quality, and commercial negotiations
- Partner with suppliers on product development, material selection, and cost engineering
- Support China+1 sourcing strategy, reducing dependency on China-based suppliers
- Monitor regional sourcing trends, capabilities, and cost structures
Job Requirements
- 8-15+ years of sourcing experience in hard goods categories
- Strong, proven track record of building new supplier bases in Asia
- Experience in factory identification, qualification, and on-boarding from scratch
- Background in retail, sourcing offices, trading companies, or global brands
- Solid knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
- Strong commercial negotiation and cost optimization skills
- Experience with factory audits and compliance standards
- Fluency in English and Chinese speaking is required
