Account Manager, San Diego

A global company leading in the industrial automation space is looking for an Account Manager in the San Diego region. This role focuses on expanding the company's book of business within the territory through continued outreach to new and existing customers. You'll work cross-functionally to ensure customer success and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the company's industrial product portfolio to prospective and existing customers.
  • Build and maintain direct relationships through solution-oriented discussions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, end users, distributors, resellers, and manufacturer reps to drive adoption.
  • Assess customer needs and coordinate with field specialists to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Manage accounts and generate new business through proactive outreach.
  • Strategically target opportunities by analyzing account history and customizing presentations.
  • Provide monthly activity reports and territory performance updates to management.
  • Monitor competitive activity and gather market intelligence on pricing and trends.
  • Resolve customer concerns by investigating issues and proposing solutions.
  • Drive territory growth through consistent engagement, lead follow-up, and cold outreach.
  • Partner with inside sales to ensure product availability and resolve technical inquiries.
  • Represent the company at networking events to expand visibility and build relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial sales experience required; 2-3 years of related experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of identifying and developing new customer relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse audiences.

Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 + commission
