Application Specialist - Northeast Region (Remote)
Our client is seeking an experienced Application Specialist to support key customer accounts across the Northeast region. This individual will serve as a technical resource to customers within the pulp, paper, and packaging industries, helping optimize operations, troubleshoot process issues, and drive long-term customer success.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and application expertise to customers throughout the Northeast territory.
- Partner with mill personnel and plant leadership to improve process performance, efficiency, and product quality.
- Lead product trials, troubleshooting efforts, and process evaluations.
- Support account growth initiatives alongside the commercial sales team.
- Build strong relationships with production, operations, and procurement stakeholders.
- Manage a territory representing approximately $15M in existing business, with additional growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience within the pulp, paper, or packaging industries.
- Strong understanding of mill operations and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working directly with paper mills, converting facilities, or packaging manufacturers.
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and provide technical recommendations.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Paper Science, or related technical field preferred.
Location & Travel
- Remote position based in the Northeast U.S.
- Territory coverage focused primarily on New York and surrounding states.
- Approximately 50% travel to customer facilities.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $130,000 - $160,000
- Bonus Opportunity: 20%-40%
