Business Development Manager - FMCG Ingredients (Confidential Client)
Our client, a fast-growing and innovation-led business within the natural ingredients and spices category, is looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to support their next phase of commercial growth.
This role is focused on driving new business, expanding market presence, and building long-term client partnerships across key B2B channels.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive client acquisition, identifying and winning new accounts across relevant FMCG, food manufacturing, and foodservice channels
- Develop and execute a new business strategy to expand market share within existing and emerging territories
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, procurement teams, and decision-makers
- Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations, from initial pitch through to contract closure
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and product teams to align on growth initiatives
- Actively map the market, identifying opportunities for channel expansion and portfolio growth
Profile:
- Proven track record in business development / sales within FMCG, food ingredients, or spices
- Strong experience in winning new accounts and opening markets, rather than account management only
- Demonstrated ability to grow revenue, with clear examples of commercial impact (e.g. new listings, revenue growth, margin improvement)
- Strong understanding of B2B channels including food manufacturers, retailers, and/or foodservice
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a scaling, agile business environment
