Job Summary

We are seeking a Director of Sales - Composites & Carbon Fiber (Americas) to lead regional commercial strategy and execution. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening strategic customer relationships across key industries.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on commercial leader with deep expertise in advanced materials who can translate market insights into scalable growth, build high-performing teams, and influence both regional and global business strategy.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales and commercial leadership
  • MUST have background in carbon fiber, composites, or advanced materials
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Strong strategic selling, negotiation, and executive communication skills
  • Solid understanding of composite applications and key end markets (e.g., aerospace, defense, industrial)
  • Familiarity with materials such as prepregs, thermoplastics, or specialty resins
  • Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Science, or Business preferred); advanced degree a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and operate in a global, matrixed environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion
  • Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing Americas sales team
  • Own pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and quota delivery
  • Drive new business development and expand strategic customer relationships
  • Partner cross-functionally on pricing, profitability, and product strategy
  • Ensure disciplined sales execution, including CRM usage and contract governance
  • Align sales forecasts with S&OP processes to support demand and supply planning
  • Provide market insights to inform strategic planning and competitive positioning
  • Maintain compliance with commercial policies, export controls, and contractual obligations
