Title: Demand Planning Manager
Salary: $135k
Location: Greater San Francisco Area
Schedule: Hybrid (3x a week in the office)
Company Profile: A leader in the food space is looking to add a Demand Planning Manager to their team. This person is responsible for leading a complex, cross-functional process to collect inputs, analyze performance, and publish accurate demand plans that drive business execution. This candidate will also play a key role in S&OP and S&OE, ensuring alignment to a single, end-to-end company plan based on the approved demand.
The Demand Planning Manager Will Be Responsible for the Following:
- Develop, own, and maintain accurate demand forecasts across products, customers, and channels
- Translate historical data, market trends, promotions, and business inputs into an actionable demand plan
- Analyze demand drivers, variances, and forecast performance to identify risks and opportunities
- Align the forecast to demand trends, including oversight of new item launches and item discontinuations
- Serve as the primary POC for internal stakeholders on short-term demand opportunities, coordinating feasibility assessments with Supply Planning and communicating outcomes back to Sales
- Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and partner with CI/IT teams to streamline planning processes
The Demand Planning Manager Should Have the Following Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of demand planning experience with CPG company
- Experience with tool-based forecasting and demand planning (SAP preferred)
- Excel proficiency, including building templates and developing complex formulas
- Communicate complex situations with clarity and brevity, enabling quick understanding and informed decision-making
