EHS Manager
Job Summary:
We are looking for an EHS Manager to lead our environmental, health, and safety programs within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of safety, and implementing effective risk management strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of chemical safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations; recommend corrective actions.
- Lead training programs to educate employees on safety practices, hazardous materials handling, and emergency response.
- Monitor environmental performance and ensure proper waste management, air and water quality controls.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to integrate EHS considerations into process design and improvement.
- Maintain records and prepare reports for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of EHS experience in chemical or industrial manufacturing, with strong regulatory knowledge.
- Certification in safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
