Title: Supply Chain Specialist
Location: Remote with some domestic travel (preference for East Coast)
Salary: $85-95k
Company Profile: A leading food technology organization is looking to add a Supply Chain Specialist to their team. This person will be responsible for helping manage the flow of perishable and non-food products from suppliers to customers. This role plays an important part in ensuring product availability, cost efficiency, and smooth operations across the supply chain.
The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for the following:
- Create purchase orders based on inventory levels. Manage inbound logistics for the PO and communicate with the supplier, carrier, and warehouse on order status
- Report potential inventory risks in advance to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Investigate and fix inventory variances and support monthly shortages or overstocking
- Coordinate freight and ensure timely deliveries as requested
- Support new item and supplier set up in ERP system. Collect and record master data, and update existing data as needed
- Assist in customer order entry and issue customer credits as needed
- Participate in onboarding new vendors and contribute to special projects
The Supply Chain Specialist should have the following qualifications:
- Relevant education or 3+ years of supply chain experience
- Hands-on experience with purchasing, freight coordination, and warehouse management from the food industry
- Prior knowledge about EDI, imports, and/or using an ERP system extensively
- Comfortable handling a wide variety of tasks and shifting priorities
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to act quickly under pressure
- Solid computer skills and analytical thinking
This is a full time permanent position that is fully remote, but will require some domestic travel.
