Hardware Verification Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Hardware Verification Engineer to lead system‑level verification of advanced, high‑speed digital compute platforms from early development through production release. This role sits at the center of hardware, firmware, and software integration and is critical to ensuring functional correctness, performance, and robustness of complex test and compute systems. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong cross‑functional influence, and a passion for solving challenging system‑level problems.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Verification & Test Strategy

  • Design and own advanced verification methodologies to validate functionality, performance, and system‑level robustness of new hardware products.
  • Drive validation activities from early architecture phases through factory release and production deployment.
  • Define scalable, repeatable test strategies that support long‑term product sustainment.

Test Software Development & Automation

  • Develop, debug, and deploy automated verification software in an object‑oriented environment.
  • Build maintainable test frameworks and infrastructure that support complex system‑level testing.
  • Ensure test solutions are reliable, extensible, and well‑documented for handoff to manufacturing and sustaining teams.

System‑Level Debug & Root Cause Analysis

  • Lead complex cross‑disciplinary investigations to isolate and resolve hardware, firmware, and software integration issues.
  • Perform deep lab‑based debugging using functional, performance, and signal‑integrity data.
  • Translate test results into clear technical findings and actionable design feedback.

Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with hardware, firmware, software, systems, and manufacturing engineering teams across the full product lifecycle.
  • Influence test strategy and engineering best practices through technical leadership and mentoring.
  • Support smooth transition of products from development into production environments.

High‑Speed Digital Validation

  • Validate high‑speed digital interfaces and system interconnects using advanced lab instrumentation.
  • Apply signal‑integrity analysis techniques including jitter analysis, eye‑diagram evaluation, equalization, and loss characterization.
  • Support validation of next‑generation digital communication standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in hardware verification or product test engineering for complex digital systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in object‑oriented programming (C#, C++, or Java preferred) for test automation.
  • Deep experience with system‑level debug and root‑cause analysis across hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Strong hands‑on expertise with high‑speed lab equipment (e.g., high‑bandwidth oscilloscopes, BERTs).
  • Demonstrated experience validating high‑speed digital interfaces and signal‑integrity performance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions across teams.

Preferred

  • Experience with high‑performance computing, automated test platforms, or production test systems.
  • Familiarity with advanced signal‑integrity concepts such as PAM‑based signaling and next‑generation serial standards.
  • Proven track record of technical mentorship and influence in senior engineering environment
