Head of Trucking (m/w/d)
One of our clients is looking for an experienced leader to oversee their Trucking & Fleet division. In this role, you will manage both the team of truck drivers and the office staff, ensuring smooth and efficient daily transport operations. A key part of your responsibility will also be driving the development of the entire fleet, including the expansion of electric trucks.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop both driver and office teams
- Ensure efficient and reliable day‑to‑day transport operations
- Oversee dispatching, route optimization, and capacity planning
- Manage maintenance, repairs, and compliance with legal regulations
- Monitor costs, analyze KPIs, and continuously improve processes
- Contribute to the strategic development of the electric truck fleet
- Proven experience in trucking, transportation, logistics, or fleet management
- Strong background in driver leadership and truck technology
- Hands‑on mentality with enthusiasm for operational responsibility
- Analytical mindset and solid understanding of costs and performance KPIs
- Interest in modern and sustainable technologies
- Fluency in German
