Indirect Procurement Manager
The Indirect Procurement Manager is a key member of the Global Procurement Team and a strategic partner to functions such as R&D, Commercial, HR, IT, and Manufacturing & Supply. The role ensures supplier solutions align with business needs, compliance standards, and functional strategies while driving value, innovation, and risk mitigation.
Essential Functions
- Develop, optimize, and execute category strategies across functions including R&D, Medical Affairs, IT, MRO, and CAPEX.
- Build sourcing plans with stakeholders to reduce risk, manage cost, and deliver innovation.
- Translate business needs into sourcing strategies and manage end-to-end sourcing (RFP/RFQ/RFS, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance).
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory and risk frameworks.
- Monitor supplier performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate spend and savings reporting for projects and suppliers.
- Stay current on market trends, supplier innovations, and emerging technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (CPSM, CIPS) preferred.
- 5+ years of indirect procurement or category management experience.
- Demonstrated success managing complex sourcing initiatives and negotiating high‑value contracts.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency with procurement tools (SAP, Ariba, Coupa) and Microsoft Office.
