Maintenance & Automation Supervisor
Overview
Our partner is a U.S.-based manufacturing organization seeking a Maintenance & Automation Supervisor to lead plant maintenance operations while driving automation and equipment standardization initiatives. This role blends hands‑on technical problem solving with leadership responsibility and a strong focus on improving equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate maintenance, repair, and installation of plant equipment, machinery, and utilities.
- Supervise and develop maintenance staff, including planning, assigning, and reviewing work.
- Drive automation initiatives, including PLC, HMI, and drive control programming.
- Identify opportunities to standardize equipment and improve operator interfaces.
- Plan and execute equipment installations, upgrades, and modification projects.
- Develop and enhance preventive maintenance programs with engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment and promote structured problem‑solving practices.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to improve operations and reduce downtime.
- Analyze production and maintenance data to optimize performance and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience; technical training preferred.
- 8-10+ years of experience in maintenance, automation, or manufacturing environments.
- Experience with PLC programming, HMIs, and industrial automation systems.
- Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and engineering documentation.
- Experience with equipment installation, fabrication, and plant utilities systems.
