Operations Manager
We're looking for a hands-on, results-driven Operations Manager to lead a fast-paced, three-shift manufacturing operation. If you thrive in high-speed packaging environments and have a passion for safety, quality, and continuous improvements, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations across all shifts, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed, product quality meets or exceeds standards, delivery time lines are achieved, and cost targets are maintained.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Identify and implement productivity enhancements through process optimisation, equipment utilization, and workforce efficiency, while encouraging innovative problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including production, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain to align operational goals and ensure seamless execution of production schedules.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related technical field, with a strong foundation in manufacturing principles and operational strategy.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in liquid processing and high-speed packaging environments, demonstrating a consistent track record of performance improvement.
- Proven leadership capabilities with a focus on safety initiatives, team development, and operational excellence, supported by strong business acumen and familiarity with ERP systems such as Syspro.
